The tale of Gleason Family Vineyards dates back to 2004, when Kevin Gleason purchased a 415-acre ranch in the Santa Ynez Valley and selected specific sites to plant vineyards.
The Gleason Family's wine interests have expanded significantly over the last twenty years—planting our flag in Los Olivos in 2012 with one of the largest tasting rooms in town, the acquisition of Roblar Winery in 2017, the development of neighboring Roblar Farm in 2018, and Royal Oaks Tasting Room in Solvang.
Gleason Family Vineyards (GFV) was created in 2019 to encompass all of the Gleason Family’s Santa Ynez Valley Wine Country properties. Our GFV Signature Membership allows our guests to experience the rich diversity of GFV wines, while partaking in the bounty that our various properties offer.

Both Refugio Ranch and Roblar wines are mindfully crafted by GFV Head Winemaker, Max Marshak, at the Roblar Winery facility. With fifty acres planted across our two estate properties, comprised of fourteen varietals, the GFV Wine Portfolio is incredibly diverse. In any given year we produce between thirty to forty single-varietal wines and blends—from Bordeaux varietals to Rhones, Pinot and Chardonnay to Sparkling, and even some fun Italian varietals to boot. We have a wine for every palate!
