Beautiful depth on the nose, with a mix of savory and fruit, including notes of bacon fat, seared meat, smoky flint-like minerality, herbes de provence and peppercorn alongside a mélange of crushed dark berries, plum skin and violet.  On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied with vibrant acidity and chalky tannin, which will benefit from a decanting when young. Aged in 100% French oak, 30% new, barrique and large format.
